The two trees have been jointly guarding Lanwangmiao Village for 12 years, witnessing the deep love between the couple Xiao Xianfeng and Liu Pei and the hard times when they returned the hometown and started up their business.

 

 

Xiao Xianfeng, with a baby face, had gone through many tribulations. In 2005, Xiao left his hometown and came to Chenzhou City alone to drive a taxi. Because of the high rent of houses in the urban area, he had to rent a room in the suburbs near the Longnv Hot Spring.

 

The landlord is surnamed Liu, and they have a daughter named Liu Pei. In daily interactions, Xiao was attracted by the cheerful and generous girl, but he deliberately  distanced himself from Liu due to his personal circumstances. What he did not know was that he had won Liu’s heart with his diligence.

 

What Xiao’s had done didn’t make Liu waver from her determination. Liu took the initiative to express her feelings, and Xiao was also encouraged by her to stop holding back. In 2007, the couple finally decided to accompany each other confidently.

 

After marriage, Xiao stopped driving a taxi and started steel business in the Huaishuxia Logistics Park. His business was booming, and he bought a car and a house.

 

In December 2015, with the approval of Chenzhou Xihe River National Wetland Park construction project, changes had taken place in Xiao’s life.

 

The Suxian District section of the Xihe River Ecological Scenic Belt starts from Banwu Village, Xujiadong Town, and passes Lanwangmiao Village.

 

At that time, Liu was a village cadre and encouraged her husband to return home and start up his business. It is the origin of Juxian Inn.

 

 

At the end of 2017, Xiao responded to the call of the village Party branch and village committee of Lanwangmiao Village to start business. He began to make careful preparations for Juxian Inn.

 

Construction of Juxian Inn began in 2018 but had to stop due to the shortage of funds. However, the couple did not retreat. Instead, they sold their house in Chenzhou City to raise funds for the construction.

 

At that time, the construction of the Xihe River Wetland Park was in full swing, and Xiao’s hometown became more beautiful with clean roads, clear rivers and lush mountains.

 

The “husband and wife trees” saw the rise of Juxian Inn day by day, which was gradually built into a five-storey building.

 

Eventually, Juxian Inn was opened in October 2019. As an inn that holds nostalgic sentiments along the Xihe River, it is positioned as a homestay inn complex.

 

In the past two years, Juxian Inn has provided long-term jobs for 12 local villagers.

 

Under Xiao’s management, the inn has gained a reputation in Chenzhou. It overcame the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and reached a turnover of more than 1.8 million yuan in 2021.
